Production Team

A dream team of theatre professionals has come alongside this project! Producing The Centurion The Musical is Bonnie Bosso, former Senior Vice President of Production with Sight & Sound who is now at Franklin & Marshall College. Directing is Teresa Nevola Moyer, Professor of Voice at Eastern University whose international directing experiences include a recent 2011 stint in Europe directing summer opera. Billy Petty, Worship Arts Pastor at a New England mega-church and a singer-songwriter who made his 2010 Carnegie Hall debut, is acting as Music Director. Nashville based Co-Producer is Randall Bayne, CEO of Christian Music Presenters whose recent adaptation of the book “Fear Not Tomorrow, God is Already There” by Ruth Graham (daughter of Rev. Billy Graham) into an inspirational music presentation, wowed audiences of thousands in 2011. The Centurion The Musical’s Script Editor is David Campbell, former producer of Sugar Babies (on Broadway) and co-creator of the DOUG cartoon & Disney movies. Twin sensations Joel and Jason Collier will be doing the music arrangements.

Mentoring and advising the project have been heavy hitters in the Christian music and theatre world including: CEOs Matt Neff and Josh Enck of Sight & Sound Theatres, Ron Matthews from Eastern University, Craig Adams, head of Creative Development for Lifeway Publishing in Nashville, Robert Dragotta, Broadway Producer of ‘Late Night Catechism’, ‘How To Succeed’ and the soon to be advancing “The Confession”, Esther Crookshank, professor of Hymnology at Southern Baptist Seminary (Louisville), Dan Raines, the highly regarded CEO of Creative Trust of Nashville known for his multiple Grammy and Dove Awards as executive producer of some of Music City’s top Christian artists, Robert Stillman, Producer of
Freud's Last Session, Carol Jaudes, star of Cats on Broadway and head of drama & worship arts for the Salvation Army, and Marc Demel, actor, consultant and former dramatic worship arts director at Willow Creek Community Church (Illinois). Jubilee! wishes to thank Manny King and the board of LifeStreams Productions at Living Waters Theatre for their tireless efforts on behalf of this production.

DEBBIE ORLOFF

BONNIE BOSSO (Producer)
Bonnie is blessed to be enjoying a successful career in the entertainment industry!  Since receiving her Theatre degree from S.U.N.Y. at Stony Brook, Bonnie has been a stage manager in New York, the Director of Entertainment of Hersheypark, and a twenty-year veteran of Sight and Sound where she was most recently Senior VP of Production.  She has produced, directed, designed and otherwise put her stamp on hundreds of productions, and thousands of theatre professionals.  Bonnie is currently employed by Franklin and Marshall College as Production and PR Manager for the Theatre, Dance and Film Department and is a Board of Advisor member for PRiMA Arts Inc. Special thanks to the "princes" God has put in her life who constantly hold up her arms.

TERESA NEVOLA MOYER (Director)
Teresa is a Professor of Music and the Associate Director of Theatre, specializing in Vocal Studies at Eastern University.  She holds a Master of Music degree in Opera Performance and an Artist’s Diploma in Voice from the Curtis Institute of Music, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from Rutgers University.  Most of her professional career was spent as a member of the Opera Company of Philadelphia and Il Festivale del Due Mondi in Spoleto, Italy. Currently, she is Director of Operatic Studies at the Crescendo Summer Institute of the Arts in Sarospatak, Hungary.  Moyer initiated and leads the Opera Workshop and Musical Theater program at Eastern University where she has directed numerous productions. She is a member of the Vineyard Community Church in Chester Springs, PA, where she and her husband Stephen serve on the worship and church leadership teams. 

BILLY PETTY (Music Director)
Mr. Petty is originally from Detroit, MI. He has lived in New Hampshire for 10 years with his wife of 13 years, Amy Petty (Carpasia), and serves as bethanyARTS director at Bethany Church on the seacoast of NH just north of Boston.  Billy has performed as a vocal soloist at Carnegie Hall in NYC, was the Choir Director for the statewide NH Night of Worship at the state capitol in Concord, NH, has conducted 50 piece orchestras in the Philadelphia and Boston regions, and has spent time with recording artists in and out of recording studios putting together rhythm sections, vocal arrangements, producing, and more. Billy is honored to be a sliver of The Centurion The Musical story with Debbie Orloff, Exec Producer and the rest of the team.

JOEL COLLIER (Music Arranger)
Joel has been active as a composer and arranger since he was a young teenager. He has received numerous awards in music composition and performance. Joel's works have been commissioned and performed by soloists and ensembles throughout the world, as well as being used as music for dance ensembles and scores for several films. In 2011, Joel released a singer-songwriter album entitled It's Love. He is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in Euphonium Performance from James Madison University.

JASON COLLIER (Music Arranger)
Jason is an eclectic musician. Equally comfortable in ensembles ranging from orchestras to gospel choirs, he has performed as a pianist, vocalist, trombonist, and conductor at a variety of venues ranging over 5 continents and including such venues as the Sydney Opera House and the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. Jason has been privileged to work with some of the very finest musicians in the world, and considers himself blessed for each of those opportunities. Currently, he is working as The Regional Music and Arts Director for The Salvation Army in the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia - organizing and overseeing both church and community music programs at several Salvation Army Centers in the region.

Ron Barnett (Original Songs Arranger)
Ron Barnett is a composer living in Lancaster, PA where he is Director of Music and Art at Saint James Episcopal Church and occasionally Musical Director at the Fulton Theatre. His musical, AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS, premiered at the Fulton in March 2007. He wrote music and lyrics for A CHRISTMAS CAROL, with book by Barry Kornhauser which received a 2001 Red Rose Award and will be published by Dramatic Publishing in 2013. He also wrote music for PRiMA Theatre Company’s CARRYING CHRISTMAS. Ron has scored over two dozen shows for regional children’s theatre, some of which have toured nationally, been performed at the Producer’s Association of Children’s Theatre in NYC and the Kennedy Center in Washington, and been nominated for TCG awards. He is currently a member of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop, New York (Advanced) and was (with Greg Edwards) a finalist for the 2010 Fred Ebb Prize.

LARS HAGLUND (Choreographer):

Lars is absolutely thrilled to be involved with The Centurion. He is blessed to have performed in shows from LA to NYC. Most recently, Lars was on the national tour of Beauty and the Beast. In the choreography realm, he has set pieces for Miss Michigan 2010 & 2011, and of late he co-choreographed two pieces for a Concert - with Tim Janis at The Kennedy Center. Lars will also be making his NYC directorial debut this November at Carnegie Hall with Night of the Shepherds. He would like to thank Debbie for this wonderful opportunity, Nicole his lovely wife, and most of all his Savior Jesus Christ! Mark 12:30

GLEN BRODERSEN (Tech Director)
Glen has been serving technical production capacities for over 20 years in churches and theaters from Maryland to Idaho. He loves to see God's purposes accomplished through the arts. In his spare time Glen enjoys woodworking and spending time in the great outdoors with his wife and three children.

NELS MARTIN (Set & Lighting Designer)
Nels relocated to Lancaster many years ago to become Technical Director at Sight & Sound Theatres which was followed by his engagement to Design and Produce the American Music Theatre. Previously in Southern California, he worked as the Production Stage Manager for Disneyland and additionally, Nels spent over 20 years in the San Diego area working for such companies as The San Diego Repertory Company, The Moonlight Ampitheatre, The San Diego Opera and the Lawrence Welk Dinner Theatre. When Disney called again, Nels worked overseas in Japan as a Producer for their newest theme park: Tokyo Disney Seas. In Lancaster he has designed many seasons for Mt. Gretna Theatre, The Allenberry Playhouse, Hempfield High School and Opera Lancaster. Along with a variety of private engagements as a professional theatre Designer and Stage Manager, Nels is currently the Resident Designer for Theatre Harrisburg, Stage Manager and Technical Director for 'Music at Gretna', and Production Stage Manager & Designer for the Brandywine Ballet. 

DAVID CAMPBELL (Script Editor)
Multiple Emmy, Dove and Parent's Choice award nominee and winner David Campbell has been a Broadway Producer (Sugar Babies with Anne Miller & Mickey Rooney, Honky Tonk Nights, Colette with Diana Rigg) and co-creator of the popular Doug Cartoons and Disney movies. He has also managed and produced Mystery Science Theatre 3000 on HBO, over 500 Nickelodeon and Disney productions, and other highly acclaimed children's productions with the Sesame Workshop and PBS including Global Thingy and the animated series Pinky Dinky Doo. A member of The Dramaturgist's Union, David's current projects include the HoopDogz video series and Holy Fire! a new musical set in Nashville. David is a prolific writer and the talent manager/producer who brought Grace Under Fire to ABC and multiple comedy/variety specials to HBO, Comedy Central and Lifetime. 

DR. RANDALL BAYNE (Producer)
Randall is a composer, author, playwright (Holy Fire!), producer, and entrepreneur. He has conducted and/or produced performances at The White House, The United Nations, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Grand Ole Opry. The United States Army Band and Soldiers Chorus, The National Symphony, and The Boston Pops have performed his compositions including his 9/11 song “United Through It All” requested and performed for President George W. Bush. He has also produced numerous classical, country, and christian artists and holds degrees from Lander University, Southwesterm Baptist Theological Seminary, and Cathedral University.  Presently, he is CEO of ChristianArtistsDirectory.com and Dean of the National Praise and Worship Institute.

Kristin Smither (Stage Manager)
Kristin Smither has been working on the stage management and directorial side of theatre since earning her Communications degree with a Theatre minor at Eastern University. She has been involved with all aspects of the design side of theatre including directing or working for several standard musicals and avant guard plays such as "My Fair Lady", "Songs for a New World", "Carousel" and "The Secret Garden". In addition she was Assistant Director and Stage Manager for the opera 'L'Elisir D'Amore' at the Crescendo Institute in Europe summer of 2011 alongside Teresa Moyer. She is delighted to be part of the premier of a ground-breaking work that marries a relevant Christian theme with the traditional musical theatre genre.

JOY SARCEWICZ (Assistant Stage Manager)
Joy has her B.A in Theater Arts from Palm Beach Atlantic University where she was involved in 9 productions backstage in various crew positions. Stage management has been her favorite of those positions and she is thrilled to be able to continue on as Assistant Stage Manager for The Centurion The Musical as well as being in the ensemble. Since her undergraduate work Joy has directed, choreographed, and stage managed several productions for a local middle school, the recent being School House Rock Live Junior. Many thanks to the production staff for their faith and this opportunity! Ephesians 3:20-21 


SARA HERMAN (Stage Combat Choreographer)
Sarah teaches combat master classes at Eastern University and has taught at Theatre & Kids in Lansdale, PA. Her work has been seen in productions such as Peter Pan, Danny in the Deep Blue Sea, Romeo & Juliet, Carousel, My Soliders, My Name is Rachel Corrie and Twelfth Night. Ms. Herman would like to thank the production team for this amazing opportunity to work on The Centurion The Musical. Sara resides with her husband and son in Parkesburg, PA.


DEBBIE ORLOFF
(Playwright, Executive Producer,
Composer of Original Songs)
Debbie is a trained singer, published author and former investment banker who has worked in music ministry as a guest soloist for years. Seeking to create a Broadway styled show that combines re-imagined songs from top contemporary Christian artists with an original story, Debbie is thrilled to be producing her first musical play.

In the past, she has produced numerous music and charity events in New England including a Gospel outreach concert with eleven-time Grammy award winner Andrae Crouch and comedy nights with Academy Award winner Steven Wright. She credits a brilliant team of dedicated professionals, a stunning cast, and above all, the hand of God in making straight the way to this production.
